Experience
John Wiseman has been involved in the construction industry his entire career. After graduating from the University of Florida M.E. Rinker, Sr., School of Building Construction, John started his career with Southern Gulf West Construction, Inc. (now CORE Construction Florida) as a Project Manager. From 1988-1991, he served as Director of Operations and was critical in the development of the company in the south and central Florida markets. John became President and a shareholder in 1992. He is our visionary leader, shaping our future, and providing guidance for continued growth and success. John’s leadership and developmental skills have been key in his active involvement with the community. He has served on numerous civic boards and leadership committees. John’s contributions to the company and the community are reflections of his commitment to excellence and diversified leadership abilities.

Thomas J. Wallenfang

Experience
Tom Wallenfang has had a connection with the construction industry since his youth. His father owned an excavating company in Illinois. Tom has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He worked as a laborer for the Becker Brothers Building Company during his high school years and while attending ICC Community College. Tom continued his education at University of Oklahoma and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science with honors. Tom also had the distinction of graduating with the highest academic achievement in his class. He started his professional career with Combined Construction Group, Ltd. ("CCG") in 1993, as an Estimator/Project Manager working in commercial, industrial and healthcare projects. In 1995, he transferred to Southern Gulf West Construction, Inc. (now CORE Construction Florida). He is a Shareholder and Vice President. Tom holds a State of Florida General Contractor’s license. His attention to detail and experience is an asset to the success of the company.

Robert J. Gurdian
Vice President of Finance
Experience
Rob Gurdian has worked in the construction industry his entire career. Upon his graduation from college, he started his career at Combined Construction Group, Ltd. (CCG) by working at Otto Baum & Sons in 1983 as their Assistant Controller. During that time he also assisted in the financial management of affiliate CCG companies, Diversified Buildings, Inc., Sun Valley Masonry, Inc., and Southern Gulf West Construction, Inc. (now CORE Construction Florida). In 1987, Rob transferred to Florida to become the Controller of the company. In 1989, he was promoted to Vice President of Finance and became a Shareholder in 1992. He supervises and manages the accounting department operations. Rob is a valuable asset to the company due to his experience and dedication to the construction industry.
